Building is a delicate activity that requires a lot of precision and attention otherwise everything will fall apart but Build & Run is a bit different. This is a world where architects are expected to design and build on the go. No one knows why they're in such a rush, but what does matter is that they need to stay sharp and focused. They have the power to put down buildings in just the right spots, but first, they need to train by putting down smaller pieces. The best way to train for this is by presenting a situation where you have to design and build to survive the challenges ahead.

About Build & Run

There are so many games where building is an inherent part of the gameplay, whether it's all about building or buildings are helpful in some way. This is a game where everything that you build needs to have a purpose. The purpose is that it has to path the way forward for you otherwise you'll fall into a death pit. Or even worse, you'll fail as an architect. You need to know what you're designing at all times and be ready to throw it down at the right moment. If you can do that, then you should be able to make it to the end without any issues.

How to Play

Build & Run is a 2D runner game about designing structures while on the go using only the keyboard. The Q/W/E/R keys will be assigned to different structures that will be shown in the bottom left part of the screen. Pressing one key will select the design and clicking the Left Mouse Button will build it. The goal is to safely make it to the end of the level by crossing over the different structures you build. If you fall into pits or traps, you'll be set back and will have to try again.

The main menu gives you options to dress up your architect with accessories as long as you've got the coins to buy them. You can also choose to complete levels or try Endless mode to see how far you can go. Once you start playing, the architect will start running from left to right. As they run, they'll encounter pitfalls and hazards like buzzsaws to build over. You can only build in open areas when the arrow ahead of the architect glows yellow. You can also collect loose coins scattered along the path which will lead you to the exit marked by a door at the end.

Tips and Tricks

This is somewhat of a reflex game where you need to be able to switch between the different structures quite quickly. The biggest clues you get are the upcoming arrow signs which will indicate how the path changes. Memorize where each of the structures is so that you don't panic switching between them.

Is Build & Run an endless runner?

Though the architect will run automatically, they'll only be an endless-runner if you choose Endless Mode instead of the levels.

Is Build & Run long?

There's a progress meter in the bottom left corner of the main menu which will increase as you complete levels, but there are currently 10 levels to beat.
